As the group grows we wanted to set some house rules to make sure this group continues to be productive and enjoyable for all!
Joining:
This is a group for female and non binary identifying people in the film industry. This can range anywhere from Producers, Soundies, DPs, Gaffers, Editors etc. Whilst we love working with amazing women in photography, HMU, styling etc, we want to focus this group on areas of the industry where women are underrepresented.
Posting:
We’re asking people to hold off introducing themselves in the chat when they first join as it can get quite busy with 500+ members, but when you first ask a question / respond to something please feel free to introduce yourself!
Be kind! Everyone is making their way through this crazy industry and we want this to be a supportive and inclusive space to learn and grow.
Keep posts relevant to filmmaking. This could be sharing advice , asking questions and sharing jobs opportunities.
If sharing a job opportunity that is unpaid, please specify this when you post and make it clear why this is (we really want to encourage creatives to not work for free!)
Feel free to take conversation streams that spark in the chat to a private conversation. We want to keep notifications from the group to a minimum where possible!
Meet ups:
Every quarter we organise meet ups as a group to network and connect. Check the WhatsApp group bio for the latest meet up info! We also encourage any other meet ups spurred from this group so don’t hold back in organising your own!
